Hi, I’m Karla! I have always been creative but never considered myself to be an artist. My grand-mother, great-uncle, and my mother all had a gift for painting. Somehow I knew that IF I ever learned to paint, I might be good at it too. I hoped it might run in our genes.

For years, I procrastinated bringing my dream of painting to life. And then one day a few years ago I met a painting teacher that I resonated with. I wanted to see if I really possessed any painting ability AND if might be something I would enjoy.

From the moment I held a paintbrush and learned some basic techniques, I knew that this was something that I wanted to include in my life.

I paint for the joy of it, not to please anyone other than me. I am happiest when I am painting landscapes - water, vineyards, farms, trees, and flowers.

Living in Oregon Wine Country there is beauty everywhere. I am inspired daily by the scenery I get to enjoy. My wish is that my paintings bring a little joy into your life and home!
