Learn how to stand out on social media so you can attract your customers!

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi there, my name is Karla Erovick and I’m a Social Media Coach, trainer, and consultant.

I’m the owner of KE Media LLC and I live in McMinnville, Oregon, which happens to be the heart of Oregon wine country! When I’m not working, I enjoy painting on my patio, gardening, hiking, yoga, reading, and of course drinking and tasting wine. I love it all. Wine tasting, wine dinners, wine pairings, wine travel… You get the idea. Fortunately, many of my clients are wineries so I get to indulge my obsession and passion on the job. I have an adorable cat who loves to take walks alongside me. My happy place is in Calistoga, California.

I am an Oregon girl who grew up in the capital city of Oregon and went to Oregon State to study Fashion Merchandising. My dream was to become a retail buyer for a big department store company. I was well on my way there after graduating and scored a job with Macys in San Francisco.

I lived in San Francisco for over 20 years and this is where I first fell in love with wine. I started writing about travel as a hobby while working in marketing for companies. I was invited on really fun travel experiences (Hello Fiji and Belize!) that led me to learning more about wine. I started with white Zinfandel (my gateway wine) and progressed to drier whites, reds, and then bubbles. I absolutely love bubbles! We have some great sparkling wine in Oregon now. If you need any recommendations, let me know!

It hasn’t been a linear career journey!

It turns out the retail industry wasn’t what I had hoped for. I then searched for another career option and landed in the design and construction industry, which allowed me to use skills in marketing, sales, and customer service. During my 20 year tenure, I wrote hundreds of proposals and helped teams strategize, prepare for presentations and planned many events. I also developed a passion for sustainability and became a LEED Accredited Professional back in 2008. I found out that I was a good listener, asked questions and got to the heart of the message, which often involved cutting through the jargon and tech talk. I learned to be customer-centric in marketing and these are skills that I use all the time!

One of my career highlights was the year that I spent living and working in Dubai on a mega real estate development project. Ask me about it, sometime! While I enjoyed the work, my heart longed to be working in either the travel, hospitality, or wine industry. It took getting laid off from a job for me to go explore the industry. Once upon a time, I even had plans to start an Eco-Wine Tour while still living in San Francisco and spent lots of time studying and meeting with Napa and Sonoma wineries to talk about their sustainable practices. After speaking with lots of people in the industry that I was exploring, I kept hearing…  “Why don’t you work for yourself so you can work with a variety of companies helping them with marketing and sustainability?” So that’s exactly what I did.

My path took an unexpected turn when my business coach suggested that I start thinking about providing my own social media consulting services, since I was experienced with it from sharing my wine and travel articles. I asked her, “If I did this, would people pay me?” She emphatically said, “Yes!”

That was about 9 years ago.

Since then, I have worked with lots of businesses to help them with social media strategy, social media training, and some specialized marketing services. I find that wineries can start to look and sound the same with their social media content and I enjoy getting the opportunity to help them stand out to have their customers find them. I’ve also worked with some wineries to help them create signature events, a strategy for marketing, promote their events, and experiences. I really do love helping clients to communicate their message and share their unique stories on social media!

HOW I CAN HELP YOU:

By helping you create a social media strategy, a social media plan, or train you or your team on how to use social media with ease. I am all about making things easy and manageable so that you can get into action in about 20 minutes a day without being overwhelmed. Lately, I have been focusing on Instagram but can also help you understand strategies for working with LinkedIn, Twitter, and Facebook.

Several times a year, I offer an Instagram Mastery Live Program (via Zoom) for all things Instagram. If you think that you need someone to walk you through using Instagram for your business, this might be the course for you.

I also offer a DIY online course called My Content Closet that helps you with what to say and how to say it on Instagram. It is something that you can do on your own, on your own schedule and in your pajamas, if you wanted to!

I specialize in working with wineries and women-owned businesses. If you feel called to, please don’t hesitate to schedule a 30-minute free chat with me.

I invite you to schedule a chat to discuss if we are a fit to work together.
